Privacy Policy
Last updated:
The short version: TimeMark does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data. Your sessions, templates and settings are stored only on your device. There is no account and no server of mine that could see them.
1. Who this applies to
This policy describes how the TimeMark app for iPhone and Android ("TimeMark", "I", "me") handles information. It applies to everyone who installs TimeMark from the App Store or Google Play. TimeMark is made by Lukasz Blachura, an independent developer based in Poland.
2. What data TimeMark handles
Everything below is created by you and stored locally on your device, in TimeMark's own app storage. None of it is sent to me or to any server.
- Sessions: the name and optional note you give a session, when it started and ended, and each event you logged (its label, colour, group, start and end time).
- Templates: any custom button boards you create or import.
- An in-progress recording: while you record, a copy of the session so far is kept on the device so it can be recovered if iOS or Android closes the app. It is deleted when you stop, save or discard the session.
- Preferences: your appearance, haptics, export format and similar settings, stored on the device (
UserDefaultson iPhone, the app's private preferences on Android).
Because this data lives in the app's storage, it is included in your normal device backup if you have that turned on: iCloud Backup or a computer backup on iPhone, or Android's backup to your Google account. That backup is handled by Apple or Google under your own account, not by me.
3. What TimeMark does not collect
- No analytics, no usage tracking, no crash reporting that includes your data.
- No advertising, no advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone, advertising ID on Android), no fingerprinting.
- No location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone access.
- No account, name, email address or sign-in of any kind.
- No third-party SDKs.
In App Store terms, TimeMark's privacy label is Data Not Collected. In Google Play's Data safety section, TimeMark declares that it collects no data and shares no data.
4. Third parties
TimeMark does not embed any third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code. The only outside service it uses is the store's purchase system when you buy or restore TimeMark Pro: Apple's StoreKit on iPhone, or Google Play Billing on Android. See the next section.
5. Purchases
TimeMark Pro is sold through the App Store or Google Play, as a one-time purchase or as a subscription. Apple or Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy. I never see your payment details, billing address, Apple ID or Google account. The app only receives the store's confirmation of whether Pro is unlocked, and remembers that result on the device.
6. Exports and sharing
When you export a session (CSV, JSON or image), back up all sessions, or share a template, TimeMark creates the file and hands it to your device's standard share sheet (or, on Android, the system file picker when you save a backup). Where it goes from there (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, Google Drive, email, another app) is your choice, and that destination's own privacy terms apply. Imported files are read on the device and never uploaded.
7. Children
TimeMark does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. It is suitable for all ages, and a teacher or parent can use it with children without any of their information leaving the device.
8. Your rights and controls
You have full control of your data because it stays with you.
- Access and portability: Settings, then Backup & data safety, then Export all sessions produces a JSON file with everything you've recorded. Individual sessions export as CSV from the session screen.
- Deletion: delete a session by swiping it, with a long press, or from the session's menu, and delete events in the session editor. Deleting the app removes all of its data from the device.
- EU and UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR): I don't hold your data, so access, correction, deletion and portability are all exercised directly in the app as above. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
- California residents (CCPA / CPRA): I do not sell or share personal information, and I don't use it for advertising.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change ever meant TimeMark started handling data differently, I'd say so in the app before it took effect.
10. Contact
TimeMark is operated by Lukasz Blachura, Poland, who is the data controller for this app. Questions or complaints: support@solooperatorstack.com.
If you are in the EU and believe your data rights have been infringed, you can also contact the Polish supervisory authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, uodo.gov.pl) or the authority in your own country.
